Hi all, and welcome back to your chemistry corner on the web. If you’re interested in having literally everything you need to teach chemistry but the chemicals, you’ve come to the right place. The list on the right will help you find what you need.
I want to make kind of a big announcement for the site. The student and teacher chemistry sites I’ve put together have been online for 20 years, growing all the while. However, I’ve found more and more that I’m running out of new things to say. For example, when I first got started on the site I worried that there were no half-lives worksheets posted; now there are several, plus lesson plans and assessments. This is true for most topics. I’ve written all the stuff I can think of.
I’ve decided after a great deal of thought to shift gears. I’m going to work with an organization called UCM in Alexandria, VA that works with families that have a variety of challenges. Specifically, I will be working with 3-5 year-olds, doing whatever it is that they do all day. Given that I have shaggy blue hair on my head, they’ve already started calling me “Mr. Blue.”
Now, I don’t want you to panic or freak out about this. Here’s what’s going to happen:
- I am going to primarily work on stuff other than chemistry education.
- This website will remain online and all content will always be free to use, share, and modify.
- I’m still here keeping an eye on things. If you’ve got questions, comments, etc., feel free to email me at email@example.com.
I’ve had a good time helping teachers learn chemistry, and I hope this site continues to make that possible. However, it’s time for me to try something new. We’ll see where that takes me.
Your friend in teaching,
